     Stones Mason is a collaboration of awarding winning artists, Fred and Barbara Mason. Our jewelry has been recognized by Luster magazine as being one of 900 quality manufacturing hallmarks or designers. We have been making and designing jewelry for 18 and 19 years, respectively. Prior to focusing on the design and creation of jewelry we have backgrounds in the following areas: graphic design, painting, print making, multimedia, photography, wood carving, and working with glass, both hot and cold. We are now showing Barbara's Paintings and Fred's sculptures at our studio and in selected shows. You may view some of our offering online by selecting the jewelry, painting and sculpture link.

Our studio is closing May 31st 2009.

Our multiple health issues interfere with our ability to maintain regular studio hours as we would prefer. We will continue with our classes and workshops at the Visual Arts Center at the Titustown Recreation Center and at the d'Art Center in Selden Arcade in downtown Norfolk.

While we will not have a regular studio, we plan to continue pursuing our artistic interests. Our work will be available at other locations to be announced. For more information please call or email us.

Our studio hours have changed due to an increase in our teaching jewelry techniques. These classes are with the Department of Leisure Services of the City of Norfolk, Visual Arts Classes. Our Silver Jewelry Making Classes and other workshops are described on our Workshops page. For more information about the Recreation Department classes, you can contact the Visual Arts Center at 441.1227 or call our studio. For other workshops call the sponsoring organization or our studio.

We will be glad to schedule appointments at other times as may be needed.
        Just an note about our studio hours: We make every attempt to maintain our posted hours;
however, business errands and/or medical appointments may cause us to open or close at other
than our usual times.
We recommend that you call first, and remind you that appointments are available.
